About The Owner

My musical experience started at the age of eight when I attended piano lessons. Ten years later I had progressed to bass and was playing regular gigs on the South Wales music scene. With four friends I formed an originals band called The Sccooters. We were lucky enough to play all over Europe, and The U.S.A. The highlight of this was 2002 when we toured America taking in 29 states and on returning to the U.K. played the Glastonbury festival. Unfortunately the band broke up in 2004, I then enrolled in an Audio and Media Technology course. After graduating I was offered a lecturing job at the same institution. Due to serious illness I had to tender my resignation after 13 years in 2018. During and before this spell I worked as an advisor / manager for Cardiff based band Himalays who are making a heavy dent in the U.K. Indie scene. Highlights with Himalayas Included playing the Isle of Wight Festival and the prodigious South by Southwest West Festival in Austin Texas.

The sccoters - "At BBC Wales 2000"

Himalayas are an Indie / Garage band from Cardiff comprising Joe Williams (rhythm guitar and vocals), Mike Griffiths (lead guitar and vocals), Louis Heaps (Bass) and James Goulbourn (drums). The band started in mid 2015 and in December 2015, having cemented their reputation on the South Wales Music scene embarked on a six-date UK tour comprising Cardiff, Bristol, London, Brighton, Manchester and Liverpool.Sonically the band offer seductive guitar lines and hip bass parts that will groove you to the core, all driven by an avalanche of drums. The songs are fresh with a dark undercurrent and the overall sound is slick and melodic with lyrics that defy the age of the songwritters.Performance wise, Himalayas put on an energetic, jaw dropping show. Their rapport and banter with their audience will make you feel like you've known them for years and you are guaranteed to go away huming their tunes and wanting moreHimalayas debut EP - Ecstasy was released by Peepshow Records in August 2016 and recieved a positive reaction from fans and critics. It can be downloaded here.

Himalayas released their popular single "Thank God I'm Not You" (over 8million plays on Spotify) in May 2017. The release was aired on BBC Radio 1, Virgin Radio, Amazing Radio and Radio X. To accompany the release, Himalayas undertook a heavy gig schedule which includes London, Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, and the 2017 Isle Of Wight and Reading festivals.2018 was a great year for Himalayas as 'Thank God I'm Not You' reached over 7 Million plays on Spotify and Ihe band were invited to play the prestigious South by South West Festival in Austin Texas in March. Unfortuately, toward the end of 2018, Rob at Peepshow was diagnosed with a serious ilness which required brain surgery and a lengthy recovry period. As a result, Himalays are now working with London based management. Good luck guys as I'm sure from our humble beginings travelling the length and breadth of th UK in a small van and sometimes a large car. Bigger things await you.

Working with Sweet Spot

Once Rob was back on his feet again the offer was made to collaborate with Sweet Spot Studio. Also based in Cardiff, Sweet Spot shares Peepshow's ethos of finding, developing, nurturing and promoting local talent. Established and managed by long term friend, vocalist Andie Bosley. Although in it's infancy the partnership has so far proved fruitful. Curently working with 2 bands and 2 singer-songwritters. While it must be stressed none of these artists are signed to the label, it is hoped that this crop of talent will be able to contribute heavily to the South Wales music scene and beyond in the very near future. We offer a comprehensive range of pricing packages depending on the needs of your project.
